The gears are done in charcoal and aged silver for an antique appearance. The lower left gear has large Arabic numerals at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 positions, with hour markers at the other positions. The top gear features square and round cutouts as hour markers, while the lower right gear has spokes that indicate the hours. Each feature has black hands for a coordinated look.
